MY CAREER

From research to producing stories for screen.

I have worked in television production for more than 15 years, across factual entertainment, entertainment and children's programming.

My experience has included casting contributors, developing stories, researching ideas, managing contributors and working on location, as well as coordinating the practical and logistical demands of busy productions.

Working across different roles and programme formats has developed strong skills in storytelling, communication, organisation and problem solving, often while working to tight deadlines and changing production requirements.

SELECTED CREDITS

A few highlights from my television career.

Gogglebox / Gogglebocs Cymru

Channel 4 / S4C

Gogglebox — Rushes Runner

Working independently across the UK, I collected rushes from location teams and delivered them to the edit in London, managing my own schedule around filming and production requirements.

The role required careful logistical planning and time management to ensure footage reached the edit promptly, alongside delivering materials to location teams when required.

Gogglebocs Cymru — Casting Producer

Returning to the format later in my career as a Casting Producer, I made initial calls to applicants, introduced them to the programme and arranged casting conversations with the Welsh-speaking executive team.

I also carried out proactive street casting and identified businesses and locations where potential contributors could be found, creating targeted recruitment materials which were translated into Welsh for distribution. Once contributors were selected, I coordinated the required background checks as part of the casting process.

Come Dine With Me

Channel 4

Working as a location researcher, I worked directly with the episode director throughout prep and filming, coordinating contributors, locations and the logistics required to keep each episode running smoothly.

During prep, I liaised with contributors to gather menus, arrange filming locations and ensure release forms and contracts were completed. On location, I coordinated contributors and crew, managed timings and supported contributors throughout filming and the dinner parties.

The role required strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills while working to demanding production schedules and long, fast-paced filming days.
